David Devant & His Spirit Wife Events

David Devant & His Spirit Wife

David Devant & His Spirit Wife is an indie rock band that has managed to last for more than twenty years now. This band is known for having much more stage presence than a good portion of the other British artists that have been dominating the music scene for the past couple of decades. These artists have still been able to thrive in a musical environment like this, but they have managed to benefit from some of the technological changes that have occurred throughout the industry.

Lots of modern musicians don’t rely on shows quite as much. They are able to get their music all around the world just through the recordings that people can now easily listen to on their computers. Modern musicians can get new fans with video recordings of their shows that are twenty years old or more on video sharing websites. The musicians that are boring to watch in person can still be interesting to listen to, and they have managed to succeed despite their lack of obvious talent on the stage.

As such, the groups like David Devant & His Spirit Wife, who can actually put on a good show, are that much more riveting to watch and that much more special in their field in general. They manage to put some real energy into their performances and into the costumes that they choose and the personas that they create when they are on the stage.

Seeing David Devant & His Spirit Wife

There are no tour dates that are currently scheduled for David Devant & His Spirit Wife. The people who are interested in seeing this group get into their famous and energetic stage rhythm are going to need to see video footage of their past shows. They are a band that originally came from Brighton, England, and when they originally did tours and shows, they would usually do so in that general area.

The DJ that helped them get off the ground initially, Mark Radcliffe, was partly intrigued by their image as much as by their sound. Their first album was released in 1997, and it was one of their most successful albums to date, signaling a strong debut. Their lineup has actually changed since the beginning of the band’s first formation. People will be able to see footage of them online in their original lineup.

David Devant & His Spirit Wife had a Halloween concert at the Duke of York’s Picture House in Brighton. Lead singer and face of the band Mikey Georgeson had himself fired out of a cannon in order to kick off the concert and performed in tattered and dramatically shabby clothes for the rest of the evening. The ‘spirit wife’ herself also makes a symbolic appearance at most of their concerts, represented by a Victorian nightgown on a pole. Really, most of their concerts have a Halloween flair to them. The people who are actually able to see one of their concerts in person are going to be able to appreciate all of this firsthand.
